Ms. Kayla is a speech-language pathologist specializing in literacy.
Unlike traditional tutors, Ms. Kayla can identify underlying language issues, such as phonological processing, vocabulary and narrative language comprehension that can impact reading development.

Ms. Kayla determines the root cause of your child's reading difficulties through an evaluation that identifies specific areas of need.
​She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach which is founded in the science of reading and utilizes multi-sensory experiences to develop strong reading networks in the brain.

Her approach and experience makes her program great for readers with ADHD, ASD and dyslexia.

Orton-Gillingham Reading Evaluation and Intervention
Ms. Kayla is trained in Orton-Gillingham intervention through the IMSE program. LLC utilizes OG's multi-sensory and individualized approach to reading development.
Ms. Kayla provides reading intervention for rising kindergarteners-third graders in person at Frederick, MD local libraries and online.

Group Therapy:
Literacy Group &
Social Skills Group
Ms. Kayla supports your child's communication outside of the therapy room through real-life, dynamic group sessions. She facilitates a literacy group, which is great for early readers who want to learn to read in a fun, movement-based environment and social groups to build peer connections. Groups are held at Staley Park, Frederick, MD.

Speech and Language Evaluation and Intervention
Ms. Kayla provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment for articulation, fluency and language disorders for children 2-12 years of age. Speech, language and fluency evaluations and treatment sessions are held online via Theraplatform and are exclusively for Maryland residents or in-person at the C. Burr Artz Library in downtown Frederick, MD.
