Literacy Group Parent

"My daughter participated in one of the literacy small groups over the summer and LOVED it! The activities were great and HANDS on and kept her moving the entire time, which kept her attention. We hope to participate in another group in the future. Kayla is a lot of fun and a great professional. :)"

Social Group Parent

"My son has autism, high functioning but struggles with social interactions. Kayla's small groups were the perfect setting for him to practice appropriate social behavior, and improve listening and communication skills. He actually looked forward to the sessions every week."

Speech Therapy Parent

"I cannot recommend Ms. Kayla enough! :) From the very first session, it was clear that she was exceptionally well-prepared. She made me feel welcomed to join in on the session and I learned so much from being a part of the session. Ms. Kayla's dedication to her work is evident, as she tailored each session to meet my child's specific needs. She is also versed in Gestalt Language Processing which helped me to better understand my child language development. I highly recommend Ms. Kayla to any parent looking for a kind, knowledgeable, and committed Speech therapist!"

Speech Therapy Parent

"Responsible, patient, loving and caring, effective, professional while personal. If you don’t have time to read my story, take these and go see her and you won’t regret it. My son lost his partial hearing at 2 due to chemotherapy (both ears and he is using hearing aids now). English is not his 1st language, and he never went to pre-school to learn English before his illness. A few years later after the chemo, he was diagnosed with ADHD. All these made his case very challenging in terms of learning to speak. Kayla joined the clinic where our son had been going for about half a year and had seen two different therapists there. Kayla is his 3rd and is the best. She has good techniques to get him engaged during sessions and she is very patient. (Imagine: 3 years old, non-English speaking, ADHD). My son has a quirky personality, but Kayla can totally work with him and never loses patience. (I've seen/heard other therapists change tones when my son didn't behave the way expected, but never did Kayla) Kayla embraces who he is. She is not only a therapist but also a wonderful friend to my son, and he loves to see her. After my son started school, he got an IEP (individualized education plan) in which speech is a big part. Kayla made sure that her sessions are in line with his school IEP to achieve academic goals which we really appreciate. She gave us practice sheets and offered tips so we could help him to practice at home. We can tell that she is passionate about what she is doing and is willing and devoted to her patients. When she left the clinic, we tried to find her and transferred my son to her new place. There was a lot of paperwork to do to transfer him, but I was willing to do it because a good therapist like Kayla is hard to find. We were determined to stick with her and follow her wherever she goes 😊. It has been more than 5 years, and we are still seeing her to this day. We highly recommend Kayla if you're looking for a great speech therapist!"
